Factory Manager
- Hire, train and supervise production employees, such as assemblers, packers and equipment operators
- Create work schedules, assign tasks and coordinate manufacturing activities
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions
- Allocate resources, such as equipment and personnel, to maintain production standards
- Estimate manufacturing costs and identify ways to reduce them
- Evaluate employees’ performance and coach production teams
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished goods meet quality standards
- Monitor production output and adjust processes as necessary to meet deadlines
- Provide training and resources to ensure production teams understand safety protocols
- Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement
- Make decisions related to production, such as staffing and scheduling decisions
- Prepare production reports for senior management
Research & Development
- Align R&D initiatives with company goals, market trends, and customer needs by identifying innovation priorities and product opportunities.
- Lead the end-to-end development of environmental and zero waste solutions, from concept to market launch.
- Research and assess emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance innovation and competitiveness.
- Manage prototyping and performance testing, collaborating with engineering teams to refine product designs.
- Build partnerships with academia, research bodies, and industry to access expertise, resources, and funding.
- Identify and protect intellectual property assets; coordinate with legal teams to secure patents and ensure legal compliance.
- Track market trends, customer feedback, and competitors to guide R&D strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Plan and manage R&D budgets, optimize resource use, and ensure cost-effective execution of projects.
